A Lennox Head-based startup is looking for a capable, self-motivated assistant to join the founder in a home office setting for 8 hours per week, with strong potential to grow.
The business is Our Shared Homes, a home exchange platform launching mid-2026 that connects people who want to travel the world without the cost of accommodation. Built around trust, community and eco-aligned travel, it is an exciting space to be working in right now.
Experience in the travel industry is a significant advantage.
This is a hands-on role working directly with the founder across social media, digital marketing, business development and developer communications.
Key responsibilities
* Planning, creating and scheduling content across Instagram, TikTok and Facebook
* Managing WordPress, Mailchimp and Buffer
* Supporting email marketing campaigns and audience engagement
* Contributing to business development discussions and idea generation
* Liaising with developers and translating business needs into clear briefs
* Graphic design using Canva or equivalent
* General digital support as required
Skills and experience required
* Minimum 3 years experience in a similar digital or marketing role
* Proficient in WordPress and Mailchimp (essential)
* Solid working knowledge of social media platforms and scheduling tools
* Graphic design skills using Canva or equivalent (essential)
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to think commercially and contribute to business conversations
* Experience in the travel industry highly regarded
* Comfortable working in a startup environment where priorities shift
* Self-directed, reliable and detail-oriented
* ABN required

* $40 per hour- Contractor- ABN required
* 8 hours per week to start, with scope to increase
* In person, Lennox Head
* Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday (flexible)
