We're seeking a Business Development Manager to own and grow sales across Queensland for a leading supplier of pump solutions. This is a field-based role perfect for someone who enjoys customer engagement, understands water and industrial pump applications, and is motivated by building strong commercial relationships.

About the Opportunity As a Business Development Manager you will drive sales growth by developing and nurturing relationships with both distributors and end users across a range of industries, including water, agriculture, infrastructure, industrial, and commercial sectors.
You will work closely with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to understand customer needs and provide tailored pump solutions. This role will see you out in the field, visiting customers, identifying new opportunities, and representing the company's technical product offering.
What You'll Do
* Develop and execute sales strategies across Queensland to grow market share
* Build and maintain strong relationships with pump distributors, contractors, consultants, and end users
* Provide technical and commercial support to customers regarding pump selection, applications, and solutions
* Identify new business opportunities and convert leads into profitable sales
* Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and deliver against sales targets
* Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure excellent service delivery and customer satisfaction
* Prepare proposals, quotations, and tailored solutions based on customer requirements
* Represent the business at customer sites, industry events, and regional meetings
Who We're Looking For
* Experience in sales, business development, or technical account management within a pump distributor, OEM, or related industrial equipment environment
* Strong knowledge of water pumps and fluid handling solutions, including applications across irrigation, municipal water, industrial processes, and similar sectors
* A self-motivated, results-driven individual who enjoys being on the road and engaging directly with customers
* Excellent communication skills — able to articulate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
* Proven ability to build and sustain strong customer relationships
* Comfortable managing your own territory with autonomy and professionalism
* Willingness to travel throughout Queensland as required
