Job Title: Second-in-Command Chef
As a key member of the culinary team, you will assist the Head Chef with day-to-day responsibilities including menu planning, kitchen management, and staff supervision.
You will work closely with the kitchen team to deliver high-quality food service to our customers. This involves proposing innovative menu ideas, managing inventory levels, ordering supplies, and contributing to the overall success of the food operation.
The ideal candidate will have completed an apprenticeship program and hold a Trade Qualification as a Chef. They will be a strong leader, effective communicator, and patient trainer who can motivate and develop the skills of their team members.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
* Propose menu ideas and daily specials that meet customer demand
* Manage inventory levels and place orders for supplies
* Contribute to the development of new menu items and dishes
* Supervise and train junior chefs to improve their skills and knowledge
