Your opportunity
As the Risk, Resilience & Safety Manager, you'll be reporting to the Head of Risk & Property. Leading a team of risk and safety professionals, you will be responsible for understanding the strategic and operational challenges Hearing Australia is facing and ensure appropriate systems of risk, safety and business resilience are in place. Working side by side with people who go the extra mile, you'll also love the feeling of helping children and adults who need us. Here's how you'll do it:
Develop and implement Hearing Australia's risk, safety and business resilience (business continuity and security) functions, in particular working together with the Head of Risk & Property to strengthen Hearing Australia's approach to risk management.
Facilitate practical solutions and influence risk-based decision-making across the organisation.
Lead the WHS, Wellbeing and workers compensation programs.
Coordinate the organisation's response to business continuity and emergency threats and crises.
Support delivery of the regular review, maintenance and testing of Hearing Australia's Business Continuity arrangements including for the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) policy, BCP framework and all system documentation
Lead, coach and develop team members across the team and division
Collaborate with peers and leaders across the organization on initiatives and programs
What You'll Bring
We believe the successful candidate will have a strong track record of improving risk and compliance outcomes across an organisation. You'll bring:
10+ years' experience in a risk, safety or resilience role
Proven ability to lead cultural change that drives the adoption of risk management and compliance practices
Strong track record of improving outcomes across an organisation
Experience working in a government business enterprise and its dynamic business, regulatory and policy environment (preferred)
Experience working in a health or service industry (preferred)
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in business, accounting or a related discipline (preferred)
Current security clearance or eligibility to obtain.
