Responsibilities
 * Provide expert medical assessment and management of patients within the Cancer Care Service.
 * Provision of specialist Cancer Care services to emergency patients, inpatients and outpatients at the relevant hospital.
 * Ensure provision of high quality Cancer Care services to all patients within the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District.
 * Proactively support the development of Cancer Care services.
 * Support and facilitate a culture of learning and best practice.
 * Support and develop medical oncology research within the department.
Position details
The position is primarily based at Illawarra Cancer Care Centre, with inpatient services to Wollongong Hospital and outpatient services to Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital. The Medical Oncologist position is networked with consultative services across the district.
Requirements
 * Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role.
 * Working With Children Check (WWCC)
 * Current AHPRA Registration
 * Valid NSW Drivers Licence
