Position: Finance Manager with CPA

Likely Duration: 6-week casual position (with possibility of going permanent directly with the client)
Salary: $63.75 (including casual loading) plus superannuation
Location: Port Macquarie
Primary Purpose of the Position
The Finance Manager is responsible to the CEO to provide appropriate financial reporting, advice and support, to liaise and work cooperatively with the CEO to achieve and maintain effective administration and financial management. This role carries a high level of responsibility and autonomy and is responsible for implementing budgets and adhering to all funding agreements in line with all statutory legislation and regulations and the processing of fortnightly payroll.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
* Prepare for audits and acquittals
* Prepare and oversee NDIS billing, plan management and invoicing
* Assist in maintaining a realistic budget that will be supported by the funding bodies.
* Complete monthly financial reports for the CEO and BOM which include, but not limited to, P&L, budget analysis, employee leave entitlements
* Ensure debtors and creditors are appropriately authorised for payment and collection
* Process payments when authorised to do so by CEO or a delegated officer
* Ensure MYOB payments and office expenses are coded to relevant accounts
* Reconcile and complete Business Activity Statement, PAYG and superannuation payments
* Process employee wages using MYOB payroll system
* Distribute pay advices to employees electronically
* Track employee leave accruals
* Monitor and report on overdue accounts
* Ensure account statements are correct with outstanding amounts reported
* Reconcile bank accounts on a monthly basis
* Liaise with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is conducted effectively
* Ensure changes in financial and payroll regulations are monitored and implemented
Expected working hours are full-time to be worked Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 4.30pm & Fri 08:30am – 05:00pm including a half hour unpaid lunch break.
Desirable Criteria
* Must be a Certified Practicing Accountant
* Have an understanding and commitment to the principles of the NDIS Act 2013, NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, and other relevant legislation.
* Adhere to all practices in line with statutory legislation and regulations.
* Ability to work as a team, both supervised and unsupervised.
