Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and skilled academic to join our team as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Medical Education.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering, coordinating and overseeing teaching and assessment in the Tasmanian Medicine Program. They will also lead innovative teaching and grow industry partnerships.
The role will involve working with students at our Launceston sites and collaborating with a team of academic staff to deliver medical education that aligns with the Tasmanian School of Medicine's goals.
Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering high-quality teaching and assessment to medical students
* Coordinating and overseeing teaching and assessment programs
* Leading innovative teaching initiatives and growing industry partnerships
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A recognised primary medical or other relevant healthcare qualification
* Evidence of current registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Experience and demonstrated achievement in university and/or postgraduate teaching and learning
* A record of contributing effectively to building and maintaining effective and productive links locally, nationally with the discipline, profession, industry and wider community
* Clinical or professional experience relevant to the position
* Current Working with Vulnerable People registration
* PhD or Fellowship of a Specialist Medical College including current registration (or eligibility for registration) as a specialist medical practitioner with AHPRA

* Base salary within the range of $114766 to $157330 pro rata
