CYC’s Mission Statement and Statement of Faith can be found at cyc.org.au About the Role: In this newly created role, the Management Accountant is responsible for working closely with the Head of Finance assisting in the provision of timely, accurate and insightful financial analysis and reporting, developing and maintaining internal management reports, and coordinating budgeting and forecasting cycles. Key Responsibilities: ·Assist in the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to the CEO and Board. ·Assist the Head of Finance in working closely with site managers (budget owners) in preparation and monitoring of the annual operational, capital expenditure & revenue budgets to support long term strategic and business goals. ·Assist in variance analysis: analysing deviations between actual performance and budgets, explaining the “why” behind financial trends ·Assist in business partnering collaborating with managers to help them understand financial data and identifying areas for growth or cost optimisation ·Assist in the implementation of new financial and budgeting systems ·Support organisational change initiatives by assisting with staff training and the adoption of new financial processes and systems working closely with the Finance team to encourage teamwork ·Support the preparation for audit and coordinate timely responses to audit queries and findings ·Help identify and implement opportunities to improve automation, efficiency, and data integrity within financial processes ·Maintain the asset register and any other tasks as discussed and agreed with the Head of Finance. Selection Criteria: We are looking for someone who meets these essential criteria: ·Has a strong Christian faith, is actively involved in a Christian church, and identifies with the values and mission of CYC ·Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce or Finance ·Membership of CAANZ, CPA Australia or CIMA or progressing towards this ·3 years post-graduation experience in finance and accounting ·Works well individually and in a team environment ·Models a positive, mature and productive attitude ·Is able to use their initiative to get the job done ·Drivers Licence ·Victorian Working with Children Check/ Police Check (willing to obtain) Experience in the following areas will be regarded: ·Background in the group accommodation and/or camping industry ·Familiarity with the Not-For-Profit sector (either employed or as a volunteer) For a detailed Positional Results Description email finance@cyc.org.au If you align with the mission and goals of CYC, are passionate about helping to shape and grow our ministry impact, we encourage you to apply.
