Job Description
o Collaborate with stakeholders to align operations with financial goals and provide strategic business partnering.
o Support innovation and operational projects by delivering financial analysis, ROI assessments, and cost evaluations.
o Contribute to forecasting and budgeting processes across departments.
o Lead month-end and year-end reporting and engage stakeholders with insights and recommendations.
o Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial and operational efficiency.
o Analyse operational reports to highlight risks, concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
o Prepare month-end financials including accruals, journals, and reconciliations, ensuring alignment with business narratives.
o Assist with year-end audits and liaise with external auditors and key stakeholders.
o Uphold compliance with finance policies, procedures, and privacy requirements while supporting the finance team as needed.
o Proactively identify risks to reputation, legal exposure, or safety, and act in accordance with SecondBite's policies and reporting protocols.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Finance Business Partner should have:
o Tertiary qualifications in accounting or finance
o Qualified CPA, CA or other equivalent accounting professions
o Proven success in a similar business partnering role
o Not for Profit experience preferred but not essential
o Experience in managing or supervising end to end Payroll process
o Experience with the preparation of BAS, FBT, Franking Credits Return and government and non-government funding acquittal processes
o Advanced Excel and other IT skills
