About the role
The Senior Finance Analyst will play a key role in delivering high‑quality financial management, analysis, modelling, and advisory services, with a strong focus on revenue, investment, banking, trust, and taxation activities within the Treasury and Taxation team.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
* Delivery of organisational banking analysis, requirements and services
* Debt and investment management
* Strengthening banking, debt and investment governance controls
* Revenue analysis
* Trust analysis, reporting and accounting
* Preparation of the budget estimates
* Supporting the provision of taxation analysis, services and advice with a focus in FBT and GST
* Support the preparation of financial forecasts and processing of rates and utility charges modelling

Please note, existing knowledge of FBT and GST will be beneficial but not limiting for the successful candidate; and Council does not trade in complex debt or investment instruments.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or another relevant field
* Experience in local government accounting and finance, and/or financial or economic modelling and analysis would be highly regarded
* Membership with an accredited professional accounting body (Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants or Institute of Chartered Accountants) is desirable
