About the Role
As Category Manager – Poultry, you'll play a pivotal and pioneering role in shaping Moco's growth in the poultry market. You'll design and implement the end-to-end category strategy, from supplier engagement and sourcing through to pricing, margin management, and product performance.
This is a hands-on, commercially focused role where you'll use your deep industry knowledge to build a compelling and profitable poultry range. You'll drive launch readiness, lead negotiations, and collaborate across Procurement, Sales, Production, and Operations to bring the category to life.
About You
You're an experienced category, procurement or production professional who knows the poultry industry inside out. You combine sharp commercial acumen with practical understanding of supply chain realities, pricing models, and market trends.
You're just as comfortable in a supplier meeting as you are analysing data or supporting sales strategy. You thrive in a growth environment and are excited by the opportunity to create a category from the ground up, with the backing of one of Queensland's leading foodservice providers.
Skills, Experience & Attributes
* Strong commercial and analytical capability with a focus on profitability and growth.
* Proven experience in poultry, meat, or protein category management or procurement.
* Demonstrated success launching or expanding a product line.
* Skilled in supplier negotiation, relationship management, and contract delivery.
* Deep understanding of pricing models, cost structures, and market dynamics.
* Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement across departments.
* Ability to translate data and insights into actionable commercial strategies.
* High attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
* Collaborative, adaptable, and driven to make a lasting impact.
