We are looking for two Chefs with experience and talent in fine dining suitable to the refined experiences in the services we offer to our clients -residents and non-residents- throughout the year. You will join our experienced team of Chefs, report to the Head Chef and supervise kitchen staff.
Role : Suitable candidate is expected to perform the following duties that include but are not limited to: Effective and efficient management of the kitchen in line with company standards Supervising and monitoring food preparation at all stages of preparation, cooking and presentation to ensure high quality dishes Ensure kitchen, food preparation and storage areas are maintained as per food safety, health and hygienic standards Maintaining and inspecting kitchen equipment and utensils, recommending repairs or replacements as required Monitoring the maintenance of stock to reduce wastage Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures Preparing and cooking food and providing high quality well presented dishes in line with fine dining expectations Maintaining effective communications with team members for the efficient performance of kitchen Demonstrating techniques, guiding and training staff on cooking procedures Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and develop recipes and menus, considering such factors as seasonal availability of ingredients and the likely number of customers Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, selecting and ordering food supplies with the Head Chef Discussing food preparation and dietary requirements issues with managers, dietitians, as well kitchen and waiting staff Ordering supplies and raw materials as per kitchen requirement Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff Ability to work under pressure to deliver timely and quality results. Skills/Experience : Qualification of at least CIV in Commercial Cookery/Kitchen Management or equivalent.
Additional higher relevant trade qualifications will be a plus Minimum 4 years of skilled work experience Precision plating skills Strong attention and an eye for detail Passion for gastronomy and contemporary cuisine A passionate team player with a personable nature Fluent English and strong communication skills with staff and clients Ordering and selecting quality ingredients Strong ability to lead and direct staff Strong communications skills, work well in a team environment & thrive under pressure Inspire and energise your team to be the best they can be Good planning and organisational skills Ability to multitask
