**About the Position**
We are seeking a talented Senior Research Fellow to join our team. As a Senior Research Fellow, you will be responsible for conducting high-quality research and engaging with stakeholders to build effective working relationships.
Job Description
The position is a full-time, fixed-term appointment for 5 years. You will work alongside world-class researchers in a collegial and respectful environment to support and develop our research agenda.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct research and engage with stakeholders to build effective working relationships.
* Work independently to meet competing deadlines.
* Undertake a whole project independently, from tendering phase to analysis, report writing and presentation to clients.
* Attract research grant and/or consultancy funding.
* Contribute to excellent working relations with colleagues, academic community, industry partners, and key stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A PhD in Economics, or a closely aligned discipline.
* Demonstrated research experience, including academic and/or commissioned research for Government Departments.
* To be eligible or currently hold a national security clearance.
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in quantitative methodologies, especially in econometrics (microeconometrics), statistics, and economic modelling.
* Demonstrated knowledge of statistical and econometrics software packages such as STATA or R.
