THE POSITION
* Hands on leadership role requiring 95% hands on in the kitchen
* Plan, supervise, and monitor the food production across functions and in house menu-based catering
* Actively maintain a high standard of food safety, allergen awareness, and OHS
* Lead, develop and inspire a small team of culinary talents
* Maintain the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
* Oversee inventory, procurement, cost control and minimise food wastage
THE PERSON
* Minimum Cert. III Commercial Cookery
* Proven kitchen leadership experience leading a culinary team through busy service periods
* Personable and ability to interact with clients and students alike
* Proven experience multitasking and forward planning
* Passionate about food and familiar with using seasonal ingredients to create outstanding and memorable experiences for clients and students
* Good understanding of food trends, food safety and allergen management.
* Working with Children Check
* Flexibility to work weekends and after hours as required
