What will you do?
* Oversee the daily operations of the events kitchen
* Develop innovative menu concepts that align with current food trends and guest preferences
* Provide strong leadership, mentorship and hands-on training to foster a high-performing, motivated team
* Set and uphold exceptional food standards through efficient systems and processes
* Assist in managing department budgets, food costs, utilising IT systems to drive efficiency and profitability
* Managing performance and labour costs for permanent and casual kitchen staff
* Championing on-site food safety and HACCP accreditation
More about you
* Proven experience managing large-scale kitchen operations, and strong track record of leading and inspiring diverse culinary teams
* Menu engineering based on local Victorian seasonal produce
* Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering business outcomes, with expertise in stock management and cost control
* Relevant culinary qualifications
* Proficiency in business technology, including stock control systems, spreadsheets, and accounting software
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage at all levels
