The Coal Inspectorate is seeking a Deputy Chief Inspector to lead the team, contributing to the delivery of strategic objectives while managing day-to-day operations across the state.
This role will have a key impact on developing the coal inspectorate's efficiency and effectiveness, fostering a culture of respect, and influencing positive change.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team with highly developed leadership, communication, and people management skills.
* Develop team capability, plan and manage operational delivery, and effective resource management.

* Impart key messages with a clear, concise, and professional approach.
* Work across the agency, collaborate to advance organisational objectives, and resolve problems using evidence-based decision making.
Requirements:
* Highly developed leadership, communication, and people management skills.
* Experience in developing team capability, planning and managing operational delivery, and effective resource management.
* Strong stakeholder management experience, including the ability to communicate with influence, build relationships, and negotiate respectfully.
* A written and verbal communication style that listens to understand and imparts key messages with a clear, concise, and professional approach.
* The capacity to work across the agency, collaborate to advance organisational objectives, and resolve problems using evidence-based decision making.
