Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and improving the council's technology infrastructure, including on-premises systems, cloud platforms, and network services across the municipality.
Responsibilities:
* Support and improve the council's technology infrastructure
* Configure and administer cloud-based platforms such as Microsoft 365 and Azure
* Manage device deployment and compliance using tools such as Microsoft Intune
* Administer data backup, restoration, and disaster recovery processes
* Troubleshoot and integrate networking principles in an enterprise environment
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline, with equivalent relevant experience, or lesser formal qualification with substantial relevant experience.
* 1-2 years of experience in administration and support of enterprise IT infrastructure
* Experience in cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365 and Azure
* Device management and deployment tools (e.g., Microsoft Intune)
* Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Modern Desktop Administrator, or equivalent
* ITIL Foundation certification or working knowledge of ITIL processes
