Business Development Manager - Heavy Trucks
IVECO is a global manufacturer of heavy and light commercial vehicles providing commercial vehicle options in multiple segments in the market.
This is a hybrid role working from either a home office or our head office in Mulgrave.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager - Heavy Trucks. Your key responsibility will be to identify, actively prospect and develop national fleet business in the commercial space, either directly or in partnership with the Iveco dealer network.
Role Responsibilities:
* Identify and actively prospect new major national fleet customers to grow the Commercial Vehicle fleet business in Australia.
* Manage, develop and grow our business to existing Strategic Fleet customers and secure new opportunities.
* Professionally represent and promote the brand to key user groups, including Fleet Management Organisations (FMOs), Government departments, national associations, rental company corporate head offices.
* Maintain a database of fleet customers, prospects and fleet sales to help manage and steer the business and target new customers.
* Work with the RSM to support the generation of new business opportunities in co-operation with Iveco dealer network, including the management and promotion of fleet sales programs.
* Achieve customer satisfaction by meeting / exceeding expectations, delivering on promises and maintaining quality long term relationships with key customers, user groups and the IVECO dealer network.
* Develop and deliver product presentations, pricing proposals, tender submissions, regular Government pricing updates, etc.
* Identify opportunities to promote the Iveco TCO message to new and existing customers to grow the fleet business via service contracts, finance contracts and residual values.
* Full responsibility to manage and steer the process of maintaining sound customer contacts.
Candidate requirements:
* Education/Qualifications:
* Tertiary business qualifications with marketing and business management emphasis is desirable.
* Essential experience and skills:
* Experience in the Commercial Vehicle industry is essential.
* Experience in Heavy Commercial Vehicles is strongly desired.
* Strong interpersonal, motivation and negotiating skills.
* Strong administrative, planning and organisational skills.
* Professional bearing and presentation.
* Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
