This is an exciting opportunity for a Design Manager to join our NSW/ACT Infrastructure team in based in Wollongong, NSW.

Our ever-expanding infrastructure team is looking for experienced Design Manager to support a strong pipeline of work which includes a key role as Design Manager on a complex bridge in a Design and Construct partnership.
The ideal team player will have strong technical background in transport infrastructure projects, experience in leading teams of engineers and technicians and the desire to advance their career on iconic projects Australia wide..
Your responsibilities will include
- Spearheading project delivery by providing technical leadership on design outputs, to ensure the end products meet client and stakeholder expectations.- Leading and coordinating all technical disciplines for the successful delivery of projects.- Oversee the technical designs ensuring compliance to Australian Standards, Technical Specifications and any other standards or guidelines.- Develop innovative cost-effective solutions to deliver projects to time and budget- Collaborate with project group maintaining effective communication with external clients and subcontractors- Be the key point of contact with clients and develop strong network connections.- Participate in business development including team diversification and preparation of proposals.
About you
To be successful you will display
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction management or relevant technical qualification is desirable.- Ideally you should have 10+ years of relevant industry experience.- Previous success in delivering complex infrastructure projects; undertaking day to day project coordination, development and execution of projects plans and programming.- Ability to deliver and manage stakeholders in a complex environment, be accountable for client satisfaction by supporting the project team.- Experience in project programming and critical path analysis by implementing strategies which address program, delivery, design risks and ensure the most appropriate standards and requirements are developed and implemented.- Technical knowledge within infrastructure design- Strong verbal, written communication skills and an ability to motivate others
