What You'll Be Doing Responsibilities
* Expert Repairs: Service, repair, and recondition trailer equipment, including brakes, suspensions, axles, air systems, and electrical components.
* Technical Tasks: Perform allocated mechanical tasks on trailers and heavy transport equipment.
* Quality Control: Ensure all tasks meet strict quality and safety standards while following established SOPs.
* Precision Documentation: Accurately record materials, complete task documentation, and support WIP close-out using company systems.
* Safety Leadership: Maintain a clean workspace, complete risk assessments, and report all incidents or near misses.
* Collaboration: Lead by example, assisting teammates and collaborating with service and sales teams.
About You
You are a qualified mechanic who takes pride in quality workmanship and \"doing the job right the first time\".
Your Skills & Experience
* Trade Qualified: Trade qualification in Heavy Vehicle or Trailer Mechanics (or equivalent).
* Technical Expertise: Proven experience in heavy vehicle, transport, or commercial plant maintenance.
* Specialist Knowledge: Expertise in trailer brakes, air systems, and general heavy vehicle repairs.
* Core Competencies: Strong communication, time management, and the ability to work well in a team.
* Licensing: Must hold a current driver's licence and be able to road test vehicles when required.
