Who Dares is seeking an experienced Human Resources Officer to join our growing team. This is a newly created role for someone looking to grow with our business. This role will suit someone with experience working in a fast-paced office environment, a strong communicator with advanced computer skills and a genuine people-person.

We are a vibrant business that has been in the industry for more than 25 years. We value ethical practices, honesty, kindness, helpful intentions and integrity. We assist on most major events in and around Sydney. Some of the events are City 2 Surf, VIVID, Sydney to Gong Ride, Spring Cycle, Sydney ½ Marathon, Mardi Gras, Ironman, Sun Run and many more including street fairs. We also work on film and television as well as having several major contracts with government agencies including Transport for NSW. We work with clients from conception to delivery in strategic planning, drawing physical transport and traffic plans, gaining permissions from all agencies, liaising with suppliers and then implementation on the day. Some of our events involve more than 100 staff on any one day.
**What we are looking for**:
- Experience working in a human resources department undertaking recruitment, inductions and on-boarding for new staff
- Previous experience in a busy, fast-paced office environment
- Excellent and strong communication skills (written and oral)
- Advanced computer skills including experience using Microsoft Suite and data entry
- Customer service skills including impeccable phone and in-person manner when liaising with clients and staff
- Demonstrated understanding of time management and task prioritisation
- Experience and confidence interviewing, coaching and training staff
- A person with enthusiasm, drive, kindness and willingness to continue building a positive organisational culture
**What you will be doing**:
- Act as the main contact for all HR enquiries and coordinate any HR related task
- Overseeing the recruitment process including developing and posting job advertisements, shortlisting, conducting phone/face-to-face interviews and the on-boarding process
- Maintaining up-to-date employee records including regularly auditing licences and accreditation
- Develop the online and face to face staff training programs, ensuring continuous improvement and consistent training is administered to all staff
- Continue promoting a positive safety culture within the organisation
- Assist with payroll and invoicing tasks when requested
- Identify training opportunities and review staff performance to ensure professional development
- Handle sensitive staff matters and complaints, taking action as required
- In busy periods, assist in setting up for events and projects e.g. staff information packs, team leader boxes, radios and any other equipment required
- Undertake other general office administration tasks allocated by Managers
- Regularly update and uphold company Code of Conduct, the Employee Handbook and Employee Policies
- Be an advocate for continuous improvement including contributing to and eventually leading the development of staff training programs, quality assurance checks and WH&S practices
**Essential**
- 2 + years in an office administration, recruitment or human resources role
- Rights to work full-time in Australia
- Class C Full Drivers Licence
- Evidence of full COVID-19 vaccination
**Desirable**
- Tertiary qualification in human resources or similar
Renumeration available will be commensurate to skills and ability of applicant.
Superannuation contribution is 10.5%.
