Primary Objective
Undertake a diverse range of administrative and logistical support functions necessary for the effective operation of the Cabinet Office and Secretariat Services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide administrative support to the Executive Director, including records management, phone screening and diary management.
* Undertake routine inquiries, assist with room bookings, and organise catering.
* Provide divisional corporate support including procurement, purchasing and payments in line with Government policies, and coordinate ICT maintenance.
* Provide assistance to the Senior Director, Cabinet Office and Strategic Projects and the Managers of Secretariat and the Cabinet Office when required.
* Assist with preparing for the annual opening of the 30-year Cabinet and Executive Council records under the NT Information Act, and provide administrative support for the Northern Territory Remuneration Tribunal (e.g., digitise documentation).
* Digitise, archive and store Cabinet documents.
Selection Criteria
Essential
* Understanding of government governance procedures and processes or demonstrated ability to acquire the same quickly.
* High level of attention to detail and a highly organised, efficient approach to duties with good written and oral communication skills.
* Experience dealing appropriately with highly confidential issues and documents.
* Experience in administrative procedures and systems, including high competency in Microsoft Word and in database, mainframe, financial management, corporate reporting and records management systems (such as TRM, EIMS, ECMS, SharePoint, TRIPS or similar).
* Experience working with limited supervision, setting priorities and meeting strict deadlines while working as part of a team and providing a client‑focused service.
* Ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures.
* Preparedness to work outside core business and extended hours when required.
