Procurement Officer
Location: Hobart
Full time hours M-F
Non-ongoing contract until 30th June 2026
Australian citizenship is a requirement to be considered for this role
Responsibilities:
This is a versatile role focused primarily on procurement, but it also requires strong capabilities in finance and administration. The successful candidate will work collaboratively to lead, plan, manage, and deliver a range of project and business activities.
* Prepare and manage procurement documentation, contracts, and work orders.
* Ensure compliance with procurement policies, including risk management and mitigation.
* Prepare and release tender documentation and evaluate supplier proposals.
* Manage and coordinate vendor contracts and procurement for enabling systems and tools.
* Process invoices and create purchase orders and purchase requests in SAP Concur.
* Produce written documents, including reports, business cases, and approval minutes for staff and senior managers.
* Contribute to the planning, management and coordination of projects and project deliverables.

* Ability to manage complex procurement processes, contracts, and ensure compliance with government frameworks.
* Strong written, interpersonal, and representational skills.
* Capacity to assess risks, contribute to planning, and make informed decisions using sound judgement.
* Experience in guiding team members, managing workflows, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
* Desirable Experience includes an understanding of or experience in public sector procurement and finance administration.
