About the role
Health and Safety Advisor for construction project | DIDO | 3 months | 3:1 Roster | 12 hr days
We are currently seeking two experienced Health and Safety Contractors to join a large-scale Greenfield construction project. This role will focus on providing strong on-site safety presence and ensuring subcontractors and contractors comply with site safety requirements.
This is a hands-on advisory role suited to someone confident in managing contractor compliance and high-risk activities.
The Role
Working on a 1:40 personnel ratio (approx. 250 workers onsite), you will:
* Monitor and support subcontractors to ensure adherence to WHS requirements
* Provide visible on-site safety leadership and contractor oversight
* Oversee high-risk activities including Working at Heights and Live Traffic environments
* Conduct site inspections, audits and field-based safety conversations
* Support compliance with site safety management plans and procedures
* Promote a strong, proactive safety culture across the project
This role is highly operational – you will be present in the field and actively engaging with crews daily.
About You:
* Previous experience in a Health and Safety contract role
* A "fresh set of eyes" approach is welcomed – construction background is not essential but desirable
* Strong understanding of high-risk activities
* Confident engaging with contractors and holding teams accountable
* Practical, solutions-focused and comfortable being visible on site
Requirements
* Relevant WHS qualifications
* Current driver's licence
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
* Available for DIDO roster (3:1)
* 12-hour shifts
