* Located at the W B Clarke Geoscience Centre, Londonderry (Western Sydney), NSW

The Geological Survey of NSW (part of NSW Resources) is seeking a Senior Geoscientist to join the Drill Core Facilities team at the W.B. Clarke Geoscience Centre.

About the role:

As Senior Geoscientist, you will:

* Lead and supervise a team of geoscientists in the day-to-day operations of the W.B. Clarke Geoscience Centre.
* Drive the acquisition, synthesis, and interpretation of geoscientific data to advance knowledge of NSW's mineral resources.
* Foster commercial and collaborative partnerships with government, industry, and universities.
* Provide expert technical advice, training, and leadership to staff and stakeholders.
* Champion innovative technologies and methodologies in geoscience.
* Ensure compliance with work programs, WHS standards, and deliver high-quality project outcomes.

What We're Looking For:

To be successful you'll need a degree in geoscience (Honours or postgraduate qualifications preferred), a current Class C drivers' licence, and a comprehensive understanding of the geology of NSW and/or mineral systems in general.

You'll also need:

* Demonstrated expertise in mineral systems, geochemistry, geochronology, mineral chemistry, hyperspectral analysis, and petrology.
* Advanced skills in GIS and database management.
* Experience in field work, including remote locations and 4WD experience.
* Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
