Our client, a leading construction and restoration services provider, is seeking an experienced Strata Estimator to join their Melbourne team. This is a critical client‑facial role where you’ll manage the full quotation lifecycle while building strong relationships with strata managers and insurance providers.
You’ll be responsible for attending sites, preparing detailed scopes of work, managing client expectations, and ensuring accurate, competitive quotations that drive business growth and customer satisfaction. With a strong reputation built on reliability, quality outcomes, and a high-performance culture, this is a business that genuinely invests in its people.
We’re looking for an experienced Estimator ready to step into a Senior role – or a current Senior Estimator looking for a stronger platform to do their best work. If you’re a Team Lead or experienced Estimator with a background in strata, remedial, or multi‑unit residential construction, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct site inspections and prepare comprehensive quotations for strata repair works
Build and maintain strong relationships with strata managers, insurance providers, and clients
Ensure quote turnaround targets are met while maintaining quality and accuracy
Coordinate handover meetings with supervisors for projects over $20k
Identify potential variations before quote submission to minimise rework
Obtain competitive trade coverage and review all quotes for accuracy before submission
Follow up with clients on quote progress and maintain excellent communication
Achieve monthly sales budgets and performance targets
Maintain company vehicle and adhere to all safety requirements
What We’re Looking For
Previous estimating experience in construction or strata services
Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and technical specifications
Strong written communication skills with attention to detail
Understanding of building policies, coverage, and industry rates
High energy, results‑driven approach with excellent organisational skills
A trade qualification in carpentry or relevant industry experience in estimating, strata, remedial, or multi‑unit residential construction
A solid understanding of construction methods, labour, and material costs within a strata or remedial context
The ability to interpret plans, assess damage, and accurately scope and cost strata building and restoration works
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, properties, and deadlines simultaneously
A natural ability to build and maintain relationships with strata managers, owners corporations, insurers, and key stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communication skills – professional, clear, and empathetic when dealing with strata communities
Competence in Microsoft Office and relevant estimating platforms
