About the Role
St Nicholas Early Education supports and partners with families to nurture and inspire children as they develop the skills to flourish at home, in care and in communities. The Assistant Director will assist and support the Director in management tasks and lead educators towards quality performance in all aspects at St Nicholas. The Assistant Director will also be responsible for the operation and management of the St Nicholas service in the absence of the Director. This is a great opportunity for an experienced educator to showcase their expertise. The successful applicant will play a key role in the success of our Branxton Centre and will collaborate with the St Nicholas leadership team. They will possess the initiative, maturity, and leadership skills required to build a team and service in a growing community. The role is permanent full‑time at our Forster centre.
Responsibilities
* Assist and support the Director in management tasks
* Lead educators towards quality performance
* Operate and manage the St Nicholas service in the absence of the Director
Required Skills and Experience
* Demonstrated understanding of NQF, EYLF & child protection requirements
* Proven ability to mentor, support, and motivate educators
* Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
Qualifications
* Degree in Early Childhood Teaching or Diploma in Children's Services as identified by the Australian Children's Education and care Authority
* Working With Children Check verification number
* Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training
* Approved child protection training certificate
