As a key player in the home services industry, we are seeking an accomplished accounting leader to oversee our financial operations.


Job Description

* Our ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and monitoring all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to ensure compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and reporting requirements.
* This individual will maintain internal control safeguards over company assets and operating environment.
* They will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer to establish and monitor financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, management reports, and information on a consistent and timely basis.
* The successful candidate will oversee and support the accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust, teamwork, productivity, and consistency.
* They will develop, maintain, and evolve documentation of processes and procedures to produce consistent reporting of financial results of multiple business units and facilitate efficient integration of multiple acquisitions each year.
* This role requires the ability to monitor reporting and compliance requirements and covenants of lending institutions and financial investors/Private Equity sponsors.
* The incumbent will deliver monthly/quarterly/annual reporting requirements to internal and external parties on a timely basis, assuring accuracy.
* They will understand and maintain ERP system operations, identifying and correcting system issues as necessary to maintain integrity of financial information.
* The successful candidate will support the annual audit of the Company.
* They will coordinate and support all tax and regulatory reporting requirements.


Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting – Advanced degree preferred.
* Professional accounting certification – CPA or CMA
* 5 years' experience managing as a senior-level accounting leader (previous Controller experience preferred)
* Advanced competency in financial management and accounting software, Sage-Intact a plus
* In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements
* Track record of developing and reporting on financial results across multiple business entities
* Exemplary track record of building, managing, and evolving accounting teams.
* Proven track record of building accounting processes and procedures and maintaining strong internal control environment in a rapidly growing organization.
* Superb organizational and time-management abilities
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial activity to improvement opportunities.
* Operating in a private equity owned environment is a strong preference.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
