Workplace Learning and Vocational Education Support Specialist
The Department of Education is seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join its team as a Workplace Learning and Vocational Education Support Specialist.
In this role, you will provide administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the Directions Support Office. This includes supporting the Manager with establishing and operating the college's Workplace Learning and VET program, including developing and maintaining program documentation, support materials, and procedures manuals.
You will also be responsible for identifying pathways for employment or activities other than employment in collaboration with the Manager. In addition, you will source VET programs and tailor individual programs to suit student needs, general and growth/vocational directions integrated learning and inclusive education pathways.
This involves sourcing appropriate industry placements for students and conducting site checks and meetings with prospective employers. You will also assist in the training and induction of students into the Workplace Learning Program, induction and training of workplace supervisors, and fostering networks for workplace teachers and assessors.
As part of the WLP, you will monitor student work placement progress, including visiting workplace sites and monitoring student logbooks for satisfactory completion and working hours. You will also evaluate enrolment and completion data and provide reports to the School Administration team.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the Directions Support Office.
* Supporting the Manager with establishing and operating the college's Workplace Learning and VET program.
* Identifying pathways for employment or activities other than employment in collaboration with the Manager.
* Sourcing VET programs and tailoring individual programs to suit student needs.
* Assisting in the training and induction of students into the Workplace Learning Program.
* Monitoring student work placement progress and evaluating enrolment and completion data.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A strong understanding of workplace learning outcomes and contexts.
* Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, evaluating, and reporting on suitable programs for students acquiring work skills and/or accessing recreational activities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, students, employers, and parents.
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to plan and coordinate activities.

This position requires the following qualifications and skills:
* Diploma in a relevant field (e.g. business administration, human resources).
* Proven experience in an administrative or support role.
* Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
