About The Position
We are seeking Mental Health Clinician to support the establishment of the Medicare Mental Health Centre (MMHC) in Campbelltown.
The Medicare Mental Health Centre Campbelltown aims to provide high quality, evidence-based assessment, care coordination, information, support and treatment for people experiencing psychological distress, their family, carers and support networks. Medicare Mental Health is intended to offer immediate, short to medium-term episodes of care and service navigation. The multidisciplinary mental health team will facilitate a holistic and collaborative approach to care which addresses a broad range of social, physical, and emotional needs.
This position reports to the Service Manager and offers the opportunity to:
* Provide immediate intervention and support to consumers experiencing crisis or significant distress.
* Conduct biopsychosocial assessments to determine care needs and collaboratively develop care plans with consumers and their support networks.
* Deliver evidence-based psychological strategies to consumers, either individually or in group settings.
* Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals and external service providers to deliver integrated care.
We have full-time or part-time positions available to 30 June 2026. Hours are negotiable. Full-time positions also have the option to enjoy a monthly rostered day off.
The service will operate seven days a week and candidates should be flexible and available to work on a rostered basis, including on weekends and outside of normal business hours, as needed.
We Are Looking For Someone With
* Current AHPRA registration as a Clinical Psychologist, Registered Psychologist or Provisional Psychologist. Applicants who hold AHPRA registration as a Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist (accredited in Mental Health) or accreditation with the AASW as a Mental Health Social Worker are also encouraged to apply.
* The ability to engage effectively with consumers and their families/carers to conduct assessments, coordinate care, and provide referral support.
* Proven skills in delivering holistic, evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
* Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the capability to work independently when needed.
* A solid understanding of the health and wellbeing needs of individuals with mental health and/or substance use challenges.
