The Role
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety. You will maintain and repair diesel powered machinery ensuring smooth and safe operation across the site.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preventative and breakdown maintenance on diesel vehicles, trucks, forklifts and mobile plant
* Mechanical maintenance and repairs on fixed manufacturing equipment
* Fault finding on hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems
* Conducting routine inspections, servicing and safety checks
* Supporting production teams to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability
* Accurate completion of maintenance records and work ordersEnsuring all work is carried out safely and in line with site standards
About You
You're a hands on tradesperson with a proactive approach to maintenance and a strong focus on reliability.
You will bring:
* Trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics OR Mechanical Fitting
* Experience working on both diesel powered equipment OR mechanical plant
* Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
* Good understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical systems
* FMCG, food manufacturing or agricultural experience highly regarded but not mandatory
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
* Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
