We are seeking a passionate systems engineer to join our team. If you enjoy tackling complex problems, translating technical detail into structured models, and working in an environment that values collaboration and innovation, this role is for you.
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge model-based systems engineering technology. You'll be using the latest MBSE platform (training provided) to build digital models based on stakeholder engagement and technical documentation.
As a systems engineer, you'll play a key role in defining systems engineering artifacts such as needs, requirements, and test cases. You'll also develop workflow processes, solve complex modelling challenges, and apply systems thinking to untangle intricate system deliveries.
Our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys solving puzzles and making connections - whether that's in data, workflows, or systems. You can take technical information and distil it into structured, logical models that help drive real-world outcomes.
You work well independently but also know when to reach out for clarity and collaboration. You thrive in environments where precision matters, and you naturally build traceability and structure into your work.
You're not just following a process - you're helping shape how MBSE is used. That means you're comfortable experimenting, refining, and improving how things are done. And when challenges arise, you don't just flag them - you find solutions.
In addition to your analytical skills, you'll need to have excellent communication, negotiation and relationship building skills. You'll also need to be willing to relocate to Canberra (relocation assistance provided).
