Overview
Exeter Bakery Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Baker/Pastry Chef Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bakery in Exeter, Tasmania. As a full-time position, this role will be responsible for leading a team of bakers and pastry chefs to ensure the highest quality products are delivered to our customers.
What you'll be doing
* Manage the production of a wide range of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and desserts
* Oversee the work of a team of bakers and pastry chefs, providing guidance and training as needed
* Ensure all products adhere to company quality standards and food safety regulations
* Develop and implement new recipes and product ideas to keep the menu fresh and innovative
* Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain a tidy and organised work environment
* Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to understand customer preferences and meet their demands
* Monitor and report on key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement
What we're looking for
* A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Baker or Pastry Chef, with proven management experience
* Strong technical skills in baking and pastry-making, with a keen eye for detail and presentation
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to handle challenges quickly and effectively
* Effective communication and leadership skills to manage a team and collaborate with various stakeholders
* Passion for creating high-quality, innovative baked goods and a commitment to continuous improvement
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the baking industry
