Job Description:

The Energy Isolation Specialist plays a pivotal role in the commissioning and start-up of the Pluto Train 2 Project. This individual will provide knowledge, input, training, and consultative support for discipline or process teams.

This is a safety- and compliance-focused role on a Major Hazard Facility site requiring adherence to site rules and PPE use.


Key Responsibilities:

* Manage the integrated Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program on the project, coordinating between subcontractors and affected entities to deliver a safe, uniform work control and isolation of hazardous energy sources.
* Ensure energy isolation program compliance with SWPPs, STCPs, and Q4Safety; use Q4Safety for electronic Energy Isolation Permits (EIPs).
* Provide input and support to Construction, Operations, and Commissioning teams in piping, mechanical, and electrical isolations.
* Identify isolation boundaries based on work scope and develop/issue EIPs.
* Administer and enforce the energy isolation program with thorough record keeping.
* Coordinate activities with other disciplines and client representatives; monitor subcontractor compliance with energy isolation.
* Maintain and provide training on EIPs; oversee installation and inspection of LOTO equipment (locks, tags, etc.).
* Support project activities with other duties as directed; participate in planning, turnover coordination, material management, quality control, and environmental safety and health.
* Monitor and resolve issues related to energy isolation and EIPs.


Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5–8 years of relevant experience, or 9–12 years of relevant experience.
* 10 years of energy isolation and permitting office experience; 5 years in commissioning, maintenance, and/or operations.
* Computer literate (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
* Ability to read/interpret electrical schematics, SLDs, wiring diagrams, instrument loops, mechanical PFDs; construction site experience.
* Experience in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing, or power plant construction.
* Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities; capable of motivating teams in a collaborative environment.
* Advanced knowledge of Bechtel standard applications (BSAPs) including Setroute, Aconex, DSCS, PTR, Navisworks, and related automation tools (preferred).
