Remote working: Candidates will be required to be in Canberra office at least 3 days per week. Candidates willing to relocate to Canberra are welcome.

Role Description
As the Technology Design Lead, you will oversee the design and functional delivery of projects. You will guide cross-functional teams to turn business goals into effective design and system solutions. You will lead, inspire, mentor your team members and work closely with stakeholders from business and IT. You will make sure that business needs match the detailed design and functional requirements. You are responsible for managing resources, ensuring quality, and communicating clearly to deliver scalable, user-focused results.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead Teams: manage and guide small teams, offering mentorship and support to promote professional growth and ensure an inclusive work environment.
* Project Planning and Management: Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables. Monitor progress, identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and contribute to change requests impact assessment, estimation and planning.
* Stakeholder Facilitation and Management: Serve as primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders. Facilitate regular status updates, workshops, and meetings to ensure alignment and transparency. Manage stakeholder expectations and address concerns proactively.
* Solution Design: Lead design of solution specifications that align with business requirements and technical constraints. Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration of functional and technical components. Develop design documents, process flows, and solution blueprints. Resolve design issues as they arise.
* Requirements Management: Gather, analyse, and document business requirements in collaboration with stakeholders. Translate requirements into functional specifications and user stories, ensuring traceability throughout the project lifecycle.

* Relevant Skills: skilled at using tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, and Confluence for project delivery; understand system architecture, databases, and integrations; hands‐on experience with APIs, data mapping, and system interfaces.
* Australian Citizenship: required for this role.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree – preferably in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in functional consulting, solution design, or similar roles.
* 3+ years of experience leading small teams.
* Certifications such as PMP, CBAP, ITIL, or domain‐specific certifications (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Salesforce) are a plus.
* Experience in Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies is highly desirable.
