Entry-level Category Manager Role | $111,000 + superannuation
**Your new organisation**
This Public Sector organisation is looking for a Junior Category Manager to join their procurement team. Reporting to the Manager Procurement and Contracts, this is a newly created permanent position and a fantastic opportunity to upskill in category management.
**Your new role**
Within this position, you will be responsible for running lower risk/lower complexity procurements, as well as assisting in the Category Managers with higher level contracts when required. Key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Analysis of past spend to identify cost saving strategies in the assigned category
- Running RFQs and tenders when required
- Assist in the creation and management of category management plans
- Supplier relationship management and provision of advice on contract management to key stakeholders
**What you'll need to succeed**
In order to be successful, you will have demonstrated experience in running RFQs and RFTs in a procurement officer role or similar, as well as excellent communication skills and work ethic.
**What you'll get in return**
If successful, you will have a permanent position in a large organisation based North of the river. Previous experience in category management is not required for this position, so support and training in this area will be provided. The salary for this position is $111,000 + superannuation.
