About the Role
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Executive Producer, SBS Indonesian will lead a large program that produces more than 200 hours of content per week and manages more than 6.5 full‐time equivalent employees. The role is full‐time (38 hours per week) and can be based in either the Sydney or Melbourne studios.
Responsibilities
* Ensure audio and online content is produced and delivered in line with audience needs and editorial requirements.
* Engage with broadcasters to shape and plan editorial projects.
* Assign tasks and resources to team members, supervise the development of multi‐platform content and exercise appropriate editorial judgment.
* Manage and lead a large program team.
* Actively pursue and support cross‐divisional projects that advance SBS's language strategy.
Qualifications
* Extensive journalist and radio experience in a multi‐platform environment.
* Experience managing a team, preferably in a broadcast environment.
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders with strong collaboration skills.
* Proven ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines and problem‐solve.
* Proficiency in English and Indonesian, both written and spoken, with clear broadcast delivery.
* Candidates will undergo a language assessment to demonstrate proficiency in Indonesian.
* Must have full rights to work permanently in Australia.
