About the Role:
This is a fantastic chance to make a positive impact on people's lives as a dedicated Support Worker. You will provide tailored assistance with daily activities, ensuring individuals' needs are met.
The ideal candidate will be passionate, empathetic, and caring, with excellent communication skills. They will be able to work independently, think critically, and follow direction when needed.
Main Responsibilities:
* Supporting with daily living tasks such as companionship, transport, shopping, meal preparation, domestic assistance, and medication management.
* Working closely with participants to ensure their individual needs are met.
* Contributing to the ongoing improvement of care provided to participants.
Key Qualifications:
* Certificate 3 in Mental Health, Disability, Aged Care, Home and Community Care or related fields (desired but not essential).
* Evidence of working rights within Australia.
* Current First Aid Certification.
* A valid Driver's Licence and a registered, insured vehicle.
* Satisfactory Police Records Check and Working with Children Check, current - prior to commencement.
* NDIS Orientation Certificate - current.
* NDIS Worker Screening Check - current.
* Blue Card / Working with Children Check.
* Evidence of full COVID vaccination, including Booster, or valid medical exemption.
* Manual Handling training would be desirable but not essential.
