Ventia, a leading infrastructure services company in Australia and New Zealand, is seeking an experienced Senior Emergency Response Trainer to join their Fire and Rescue operations. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of emergency response training programs, leveraging over 35 years of experience working with Defence.
The successful candidate will design, develop, and deliver comprehensive emergency response training programs, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements and national legislation. Key responsibilities include:
* Developing departmental-specific curriculum guidelines that reflect best practices and program implementation.
* Creating assessment tools to ensure ongoing skills and competency maintenance within the Fire and Rescue operations.
* Facilitating state and national-level contributions to training curriculum development, learning guides, and assessment procedures for emergency response topics.
* Overseeing the Fire Development Program and supporting succession planning for fire management needs.
To excel in this role, applicants must possess a background in firefighting and first aid, with evidence of skills and competencies to support fire fighting capabilities. They should also be familiar with emergency services and operational excellence practices, as well as have experience in high-risk and diverse emergency response organizations.
The ideal candidate will hold relevant qualifications, including a Diploma of Public Safety (Emergency Management) and a Certificate III in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations). A valid driver's license and ability to maintain a defence baseline security clearance are also required.
