**About the Centre**
Warragul Leisure Centre is owned by the Baw Baw Shire Council and managed by YMCA Victoria. The facility was redeveloped and extended in 2016 and is well equipped to cater for people of all abilities. There are 3 indoor pools that provide an excellent space for family swimming, swimming lessons, group fitness classes and birthday parties. The centre also has a group fitness room / cycle studio, a two court stadium, a café, and childcare facilities.
**About the role**
As a Cleaner at Warragul Leisure Centre, you will be responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness throughout the centre and ensuring that the centre is presented in a professional manner. This will involve carrying out all duties involved in the general upkeep of the facility. The Centre operations over a range of hours with the Cleaner being available to work over a range of hours including mornings, nights and weekends. Responsibilities will include:
- Ensure the centre is clean, safe, maintained and well presented at all times and complete checklists as required
- Report to relevant area supervisors on any issues that arise on your shift
- Basic understanding of the operations, programs and services of the centre
- Daily cleaning duties for the entire centre including the setting up and packing away of equipment
- Carry out emergency and spot cleaning as required
- Ensure equipment is safely used and doesn’t present a hazard to the general public, where appropriate use advisory signage and cordon off areas
This is a casual position and the hourly rate is $27.51 + super.
**Essential Qualifications**
- First Aid Certificate.
- CPR Certificate.
