Job Title: Research Project Manager
This is a key role in leading the operational management of a research team at the Australian National University. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating collaboration between international research teams and their university administrations, providing strategic and administrative support to the overall project.
The job involves overseeing and managing the organizational and financial aspects of the European Research Council's project requirements, communicating with scientific, administrative, publishing and financial interlocutors. The position also requires working closely with the head project manager located in Darmstadt, Germany.
The focus of this role is the management of the research team at ANU, which engages primarily in ethnographic fieldwork in different global regions, as well as coordination of project activities taking place in Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading the operational management of the research team
* Coordinating collaboration between international research teams and their university administrations
* Providing strategic and administrative support to the overall project
* Overseeing and managing the organizational and financial aspects of the ERC's project requirements
Requirements:
* Project and budget management and coordination skills
* Ability to communicate effectively and build stakeholder relationships
* Proficiency in German (desired)
* Experience in interdisciplinary research in the social sciences and humanities (desired)
