About this role
Reporting to the Theatre Clinical Manager, the Theatre Clerk provides administrative support and service to the Theatre and Procedural areas. Key tasks include orienting procedures list, data entry, patient billing and liaising with various hospitals departments and external agencies to ensure timely data provision. The position requires an organised, proactive approach to supporting the hospital’s operational functions while ensuring smooth workflow in the theatres and procedural areas.
Hours
- Permanent Part-Time - 70 hours – Fortnightly
Key Responsibilities
- Confirm and update theatre staff for scheduled procedures, manage alterations to procedure lists and communicate updates
- Print and distribute interim theatre/procedural lists, update whiteboards with surgeon allocations and manage updates to theatre schedules
- Liaise with the supplies department and suppliers to manage stock, confirm product codes, restock areas and maintain inventory levels
- Handle internal requisitions and maintenance reports, ensuring approval and forwarding as necessary
- Provide general administrative support including photocopying, courier organisation, filing and mail collection
- Ensure strict confidentiality of patient and hospital information at all times
About You
- Previous experience in an administrative or support role, ideally in a healthcare or clinical environment
- Strong organisation skills with the ability to multitask effectively and manage priorities
- High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work as part of a team while managing individual tasks and responsibilities
