About K&S Fuels:
K&S Fuels has been servicing the fuel and lubricant needs of Southeast South Australia for over 60 years and is proud to be the only locally owned fuel distributor in the region. Operating from three bulk fuel depots in Mount Gambier, Millicent, and Naracoorte, along with seven retail service stations and several third-party supplied sites, our reach and capability continue to support the region’s growing needs.
The Opportunity:
With over 80 years as a trusted name in Australian transport, we’re proud to also own and operate modern, state-of-the-art service stations designed to offer more than just fuel. Our Millicent service station and café provide a welcoming environment, quality food, and exceptional service to locals, travellers, and the transport industry.
We’re looking for a reliable, energetic and customer-focused Barista/Kitchen Hand to join our friendly team at our Millicent service station and café. This is a hands-on, varied role perfect for someone who enjoys making great coffee, supporting kitchen operations and delivering excellent service to locals and highway travellers. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in creating a welcoming customer experience, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and beverages (barista skills essential)
* Assist with basic food preparation including sandwiches, salads and heating food items
* Maintain food safety standards and keep kitchen areas clean and organised
* Perform general kitchen hand duties including dishwashing and sanitising work areas
* Provide customer service and operate the console, including fuel and retail sales
* Restock shelves, fridges and displays to maintain presentation standards
* Assist with general cleaning across the store, café, courtyard and amenities
* Deliver friendly, efficient service to every customer
About You:
* Previous barista experience preferred (or strong willingness to learn)
* Experience in hospitality, retail or service stations highly regarded
* Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a small team
* Friendly, positive attitude with strong customer service skills
* Comfortable with a hands-on role involving standing, lifting and cleaning
* Flexible availability across a range of shifts, including early mornings and evenings
