Role Overview
Sales professionals with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service are sought after to join our Life Sciences team.
This Melbourne-based role covers the Western territory of Victoria and is responsible for selling and supporting industry-leading products, including DNA and protein imagers, qPCR instrumentation, and associated consumables.
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will design and implement a strategic sales plan, meet and exceed sales targets, and deliver outstanding customer service within an established territory.
* Establish and maintain strong customer relationships through regular visits and effective communication.
* Achieve sales targets and grow the customer database by identifying new business opportunities and expanding existing relationships.
* Spent at least 75% of your time visiting current and prospective customers to build trust and foster long-term relationships.
* Utilize CRM tools to enhance prospecting and pipeline development, ensuring a steady flow of leads and converting them into successful sales.
* Develop and execute an effective territory management plan to maximize sales potential and minimize travel time.
* Participate in seminars, demonstrations, and presentations to showcase product features and benefits, and provide educational value to customers.
* Provide prompt and professional customer support, problem-solving, and troubleshooting to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
* Hold a degree in Life Sciences or a related field, with a preference for those with a PhD.
* Minimum 3 years of sales experience in the Life Sciences or related industry, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
* At least 2 years of relevant laboratory experience, which is highly desirable but not essential.
* Demonstrate a genuine passion for delivering high-quality customer service and building lasting relationships with customers.
* Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills to effectively engage with customers and colleagues alike.
* Be willing to travel across regional Victoria and occasionally interstate to visit customers and attend sales meetings.
* Display a professional approach and a drive for success in all aspects of the role.
