**The Client**:
Sharp and Carter are excited to present the role of Business Development Project Officer with a leading utilities provider between the northern suburbs of Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast areas. **The role**:
The Business Development team is responsible for managing projects that generate commercial (non-regulated) revenue for the business. This position will provide support to the Business Development Project Manager in the delivery of multiple commercial projects.
**Key Functions**:
- Supporting the delivery of projects to time, cost and quality standards.
- Liaising with external and internal stakeholders to maintain satisfaction with project outcomes.
- Preparing reports and presentations on business development activities for the Board and Management.
- Providing high level administrative support for multiple projects, including managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, records management activities, file management, contract administration, invoice and purchase order processes.
- Coordinating project meetings and taking minutes.
- Effectively liaising with internal and external project stakeholders.
- Preparing Board, ELT and Management papers.
- Taking responsibility for the development of business cases, commercial reviews, market assessments, and other activities that contribute to non-regulated revenue. Including but not limited to:
- Drafting, editing and collating reports and presentations;
- Conducting market research and collating content for review;
- Developing simple financial models and performing high level cost-benefit analysis;
- Using well-developed writing skills to draft commercial business cases;
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate development of commercial projects.
**Mandatory requirements**:
- Bachelor Degree preferably in Business, Management, Economics or similar discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in a project management environment.
- C Class Driver's License.
- Exposure to project management methodology, project and/or program management (PRINCE2 or similar qualifications would be an advantage).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently.
