About the role
As a Senior Pharmacist, you will play a pivotal role in leading and coordinating the operations of a designated pharmacy area, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality pharmaceutical services.
You will provide expert clinical and therapeutic advice to patients, medical staff, nurses and other health professionals, supporting the optimal use of medicines in accordance with hospital policies, professional standards and best-practice guidelines.
Your clinical insight and leadership will contribute to improved patient outcomes through evidence-based medication management and a commitment to quality use of medicines.
You will utilise your advanced knowledge and independent skilled judgement to manage and oversee a comprehensive range of pharmacy services.
This includes dispensing, medicines information, clinical review, and therapeutic support, while fostering collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
As a key member of the pharmacy leadership group, you will also drive continuous improvement initiatives, mentor junior staff and contribute to the ongoing development of safe and cost-effective pharmaceutical practices that enhance the standard of care across the health service.

Qualifications & Professional Registration
Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and current or eligible registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.

Clinical & Leadership Expertise
Extensive experience in hospital pharmacy practice, with proven leadership, supervisory or management capability to guide staff and enhance service quality.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
Strong ability to research, analyse and interpret data, implement improvement strategies and make sound decisions within complex clinical environments.

Communication & Collaboration
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams, and proven capability in training and mentoring others.
