Purpose of role
We are seeking a proactive and hands-on individual for a technical support and program development role. This position is crucial in supporting our manufacturing plants and processes, formalizing our Approved Applicator Program, and assisting our R&D team with testing and product validation. The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, excellent technical knowledge, and the ability to work closely with customers, engineers, and partners.
This role requires attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. You will ensure our customers can effectively process and apply Elastotec’s lagging solutions. Additionally, you will take ownership of the Approved Applicator Program, working to structure, improve, and implement training, facility audits, and quality assurance measures to enhance our partner network and promote Elastotec’s products, brand, and services.
A passion for engineering, innovation, and hands-on technical work is essential. You will collaborate with the R&D team to support testing initiatives, working both in-house and with customers to trial new developments and ensure product performance. Main duties and responsibilities
Processing Equipment Support
* Assist in setup, commissioning, and ongoing support of processing equipment.
* Train customer operators and supervisors on equipment operation.
* Work closely with customers to ensure they have the necessary equipment, processes, and training for efficient plant operation.
* Develop quality and audit documentation.
* Conduct product quality audits.
Formalizing and enhancing the Approved Applicator Program
* Develop and improve the Approved Applicator Program to ensure a structured and consistent approach.
* Conduct training sessions and supervise partners applying Elastotec’s lagging to pulleys.
* Implement facility audits to verify partner compliance with equipment and application standards.
* Establish clear documentation, guidelines, and certification processes to improve program effectiveness.
* Understand different autoclave operation methods, including steam-heated vs. air-heated autoclaves.
* Provide feedback to sales account managers on program effectiveness.
R&D testing support
* Assist the R&D team in testing new developments, materials, and samples at Elastotec and customer facilities.
* Coordinate and oversee testing procedures for accurate data collection and analysis.
* Work with engineering and innovation teams to support product improvements.
* Provide technical feedback and formal reports from testing results to drive product enhancements.
