Townsville Paediatrics is seeking a reliable, organised, and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our team in a casual capacity.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment and values delivering exceptional service to families and children, while offering flexibility.
Position Details:
* Casual position
* Regular hours:
Tuesday 12PM - 5:30PM
Wednesday 12PM-5:30PM
Thursday 8am-1PM
Every second Friday 10AM-3PM
* Additional hours available for leave coverage and as required
About Us:
Townsville Paediatrics is a well-established specialist paediatric practice providing comprehensive care to infants, children, and adolescents across North Queensland.
Our clinic is home to a team of experienced general paediatricians, as well as paediatric specialists including a paediatric surgeon and paediatric cardiologist. We also work closely alongside allied health practitioners to provide a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

About the Role:
As the first point of contact for our clinic, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and efficient experience for our patients and their families. You will support daily front desk operations and assist with a variety of administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Greeting patients and managing check-ins
* Answering phones and responding to enquiries
* Booking and managing appointments
* Processing patient information and documentation
* General administrative and reception duties
About You:
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* High level of organisation and attention to detail
* Ability to multitask in a busy environment
* Professional, warm, and approachable manner
* Willingness to learn and be part of a supportive team
Experience:
* Previous medical reception experience is highly regarded but not essential
* Experience with Genie software is advantageous
