Opportunity
The Lecturer (Education-Focused) in the School of Educational Psychology and Inclusion will contribute to the teaching and delivery of content across the Psychology programs, drawing on their professional and academic expertise. The role includes preparing and delivering lectures and seminars, developing course materials, with a strong focus on supervising students in the 5th and 6th year programs, with potential involvement in student-led interventions within the Krongold Clinic.
This is a Level C education-focused academic position with a strong emphasis on educational leadership, curriculum development, and innovation in teaching and supervision practice. Responsibilities include coordinating units and placement activities, marking and assessment, supervising students in clinical and placement settings, and contributing to collaborative teaching initiatives. The role also involves engagement in educational scholarship, including curriculum enhancement, evaluation of teaching impact, dissemination through publications or conferences, and participation in broader academic service and administrative activities.
As the successful candidate, you will hold advanced qualifications and/or significant professional experience in psychology, with a doctoral qualification or equivalent professional standing expected. You will be a registered Psychologist and Board Approved Supervisor, with a demonstrated record of scholarly and/or professional achievement across teaching, research, and/or practice.
You will bring excellence in teaching and supervision within psychology, supported by strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with students, colleagues, and external stakeholders. You will demonstrate a commitment to academic leadership and educational innovation, a strong scholarship record, and experience mentoring provisional psychologists. You will also show the ability to work collaboratively, manage competing priorities, and contribute meaningfully to teaching, service, and broader university and community engagement.
