Role
This is a full-time, in office role for a Painter and Decorator located in Rockingham - Mandurah, WA. The Painter and Decorator will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, coatings, and other finishes to interiors and exteriors of buildings and other structures. Day-to-day tasks include surface preparation, mixing paints, matching colors, and applying textures using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. The role also involves maintaining tools and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and collaborating with clients to achieve desired outcomes.
Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces for painting (masking, sanding, scraping, filling) and ensure proper surface readiness.
Mix paints, match colors, and apply finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
Apply coatings and textures to interiors and exteriors of buildings and other structures.
Maintain tools and equipment and ensure a clean, organized workspace.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Collaborate with clients to understand requirements and achieve desired outcomes.
Qualifications
Experience in painting, including spray painting; knowledge of coatings and applications.
Skills in painting and decorating, including surface preparation and application techniques.
Attention to detail and a robust eye for color matching.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical stamina and dexterity.
Previous experience in residential or commercial painting is a plus.
Relevant certifications or training in painting or decorating.
